How can a man who's practically unheard of except in his own state where he's known as "The Gov" have gotten this far with little money and little media? When New Year's Day 2007 rolled around and he was in last place as a presidential contender, how could he have passed 8 others leaving them in the wind in only 9 months?Let's hear from you as to "How or Why-Mike Huckabee's excelled in the race"?

I am glad that Iowa is first because this allows a genuine conservative to get noticed. I know from the straw poll in Iowa that the Fairtax issue is popular there as it should be everywhere. The people of Iowa are very down to earth and the friendly "everyman" approach of Mike Huckabee appeals to them since in this type of forum they can see that he is genuine. I think that as time and attention turn to Mike he will pick up steam here as the "too slick" approach of Romney fades.
